Understanding Obesity as a Global Disease and its Impact on Health

Fatima Cody Stanford, a doctor at Massachusetts General Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School, will be speaking at the 2019 F.M Hill Lecture, on Understanding Obesity as a Global Disease and Its Impact on Health. 

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the presentation, participants should be able to:

1. summarize the epidemiology and prevalence, pathophysiology, and genetic component of overweight and obesity in the adult population
2. relate chronic disease risk factors in the adult population to the presence of overweight and obesity
3. recognize the persistence of chronic disease risk factors and weight bias present in childhood and adolescence into adulthood
