Research Interests
Global maternal and child health and nutrition, Vitamin D status during pregnancy and early infancy, Nutrition-infection relationships

Dr. Roth is an associate professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto, and a clinician-scientist in the Division of Paediatric Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children. His current research focus is to test the hypothesis that improvements in vitamin D status during pregnancy reduce the risk of adverse maternal-infant health outcomes in resource-poor settings. Clinical studies are ongoing in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
