Dietary Patterns in the Management of Cardiometabolic Disease

The 2024 series focuses on five different dietary practices relevant to cardiometabolic disease presented from the perspective of physicians, scientists and registered dietitian. Each session will provide evidence-based support, and introduce practical counselling strategies to help participants feel more confident in incorporating nutrition counselling in their practice.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the series, participants will be better able to:

  • Describe evidence-based dietary patterns in the management of cardiometabolic diseases.
  • Participants will be able to identify strategies to promote healthy eating behaviours using a patient centered approach. 
  • Identify tools and resources in clinical practice for improving the nutrition knowledge and guiding the dietary behavior of patients and their families.
