These accredited, virtual learning sessions provide physicians and health-care practitioners with an up-to-date overview of clinical nutrition relevant to primary care.
The series launched in 2023 with ten interactive sessions presented by clinicians, scientists, and registered dietitians each one hour in length. The sessions introduce a key topic in nutrition and facilitate participants’ ability to talk with patients, and include key messages and approaches that can be incorporated into practice right away. At the end of each session, participants receive a one-page summary.
The series is led by Dr. Vivian Choo, Tristan Lawson Distinguished Fellow in Physician Professional Development in Child Nutrition. Dr. Choo is a Family Physician working at Women's College Hospital. She completed her Master of Science degree in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto and residency training and fellowship in education scholarship with the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.
