Research Interests
Patient care models, Software and design for quality improvement, Complex chronic disease

Professor Onil Bhattahcharyya studies structures to create innovative care models, integrating methods from the software and design industries for service development with quality improvement and implementation science approaches to evaluation.

He was co-lead of BRIDGES: Building Bridges to Integrate Care, an Ontario Ministry funded incubator for new models of care for complex chronic disease. He is also clinical lead of the Primary and Integrated Care Innovation network for Ontario (called Better Access to Care for Complex Needs), and co-chair of the National Leadership Council, both funded by the Canadian Institute for Health Research Strategy for Patient Oriented Research.
