Culinary Medicine: Optimizing Diabetes Prevention and Care Through Low Glycemic Index Diets

Join us for a highly immersive, half-day workshop that focuses on practical strategies you can implement directly into clinical practice. The afternoon will include cooking demonstrations, food tasting, a simulated grocery shopping experience, informed by the latest nutrition evidence for type 2 diabetes management. The event features academic lectures and demonstrations led by Drs. David Jenkins, Thomas Wolever, and John Sievenpiper, Registered Dietitian Andrea Glenn and Chef Amy Symington.

This workshop is designed for primary care providers who are interested in integrating nutrition education into their practice. The event is accredited by the University of Toronto's Continuing Professional Development office.

The first 50 people to register will receive a print copy of Amy Symington's The Long Table Cookbook: Plant-Based Recipes for Optimal Health.
